Guy Ramsay Fieri is a famous American restaurateur and TV personality and an Emmy Award winner. He has three restaurants in California and is best known for his television series on the Food Network. The Food Network had made Fieri the "face of the network" in mid-2010. Guy Fieri brought an "element of rowdy, mass-market culture to American food television" which mainly attracts male viewers according to The New York Times. He also wrote two best-selling books.


He was born on 22nd January 1968 at Columbus, Ohio. His father's name. His father's name is Lewis James Ferry and his mother's name is Penelope Anne. Guy had a sister who passed away recently.

 Fieri graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management in 1990 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Career

Since his grade school in Ferndale, Guy began his attraction towards food. In order to finance his study to France Guy sold pretzels from his "Awesome Pretzel" cart and washed dishes.

On returning from France, he started working at a restaurant at the Red Lion Inn in Eureka, California. He worked there until he went to Las Vegas for the Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After graduation, he worked as a manager of a Long Beach, California, at Stouffer's.


Restaurants

He opened Jonny Garlic along with business partner Steve Gruber in 1996 which was a ‘California Pasta Grill’ in Santa Rosa. After that, he opened his second restaurant in 1999 at Windsor. They opened a barbecue and sushi restaurant called ‘Tex Wasabi’ in Santa Rosa in 2003. After that, they opened the third restaurant in Petaluma (2000 or 2001) and the fourth in Roseville in 2008.


He opened ‘Guy’s American Kitchen and Bar’, his first restaurant in New York in 2011. It was featured four times on the top 100 restaurants run by independent owners on Forbes. Fieri opened ‘Guy’s Burger Joint’ along with Carnival Cruise to sell his famous burgers in 2011. In 2014, he opened ‘Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen and Bar’ in Las Vegas. He inaugurated ‘Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen and Bar’ in the Baltimore Horseshoe Casino in 2015.

In 2018, Fieri partnered with Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl to open fast-food chicken sandwich shop Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World.


TV shows

After winning the second season of ‘The Next Food Network Star’ in 2006, Guy premiered in his own TV show ‘Guy’s Big Bite’ on 25th June 2006 with a six-episode commitment. The show became very famous and the last episode aired in November 2016.

In April 2007 he premiered in his second series ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Drives’. On 17th February 2008, Guy co-hosted ‘Ultimate Recipe Showdown’ with Marc Summers which was aired for three seasons and the next show ‘Guy Off the Hook’ debuted in 2008 on Food Network.
